Street Fighter 2 movie based on the video game Street Fighter 2. No not Street Fighter 1, I guess they didn't want to make a movie about that, I mean there's that live action movie but that's an entire different studio.
I went into this expecting a fairly lame movie and I got a pretty exciting action film with good animation and enjoyable story and subpar English dubbing. We're talking Bruce Lee English dubbing here, better than the thunderstorm but not as good as enter the Dragon
So the main Baddie in this film is named M. Bison he kind of looks like Magneto from the X-Men, though he has the powers of Charles Xavier (or actually he has the powers of Jean Grey I don't think is Xavier can move things).
Why is the main character in these kinds of films always have to be a boring ninja man? Oh he's super, he's the greatest warrior ever but he has the personality of a graham cracker. The main baddy's full of nothing but personality he's a nut! A psychopath, he wants to rule the world. You've got to give me motivation if I'm to care about the main character in almost every one of these movies. I always routes for the bad guy because he's got something to prove something to work to he wants to change the world, for good or for bad kind of irrelevant. A guy that just wants to maintain the status quo is not interesting.
One thing I find very peculiar about this movie is its use of blood. If this was Mortal Kombat it would make sense. Mortal Kombat was the one that had the blood in the hyper violence, Street Fighter wasn't really about that. it was more about just direct fighting nobody really died and there was never any blood in the games but then you watch this movie and it's nothing but blood and death.
