Film Summary CLXVII (law and disorder)

I go in expecting 'All in the Family' and I end up getting 'taxi driver'. you think a movie with Archie Bunker would be more slapstick and fun. The beginning sure is but as the film moves on things just get more dreadful and the endings just flat-out sad. personally I didn't mind the film, but it has no idea what it wants to be.

New York City is the grating Evermore violent, people are being robbed, molested, cars are being stolen. The police can't do anything about it so a group of concerned Citizens band together and become a kind of City watch guard. They look like police officers and they're supposed to act like police officers, but they don't really do a good job of it.

The best part of the film is Carroll O'Connor pretending to be a street hoodlum, I never thought I'd hear him utter the words

" Standstill motha-fucka, you Pig! Get up against that post there,

I ain't gonna rob you, I'm gonna kill you! You fucking with me man?''

If nothing else you should see the movie just for that.
