Film Summary CCVII (Hercules Against the Moon Men)

You know I've gone over the 12 Trials of Hercules a couple of times and it no point do I ever remember seeing; ''Hercules defeating the men of the Moon.'' I guess it's a good thing that he did Kill the moon man. I don't want to be ruled by them. And I sure as heck don't want to sacrifice my children to the Moon Man. I guess all the bad moon man must have been on Earth during Hercules days because those French explorers went to the moon in 1912 and it wasn't quite as bad.

We have here another example of a misleading title, Hercules at no point actually fights Moon men. Oh sure the people say they're moon-men, but they never show them coming from the Moon. Only that they follow the lunar calendar: They are big monsters I suppose, they have even bigger rock monsters that support them. But they're not really from the moon when you get down to it. Also Hercule spends 90% of the movie attacking other guards that live in the Greek City. He only fights the moon man at the last 10 minutes of the film.

The best part of the movie is when the Evil Queen Samara tries to seduce Hercules, thinking that you can use a magical potion too wheeled Hercules as her own personal slave. She fails in this only because Hercules dumps his drink out when she's not looking and pretends he's already drank it (creativity was not high that day for old Hercules.) Still it's fun to watch his reaction afterwards, as Hercules pretends to be an evil man in order to make the queen divulge certain information.
