Film Summary CCXX (Hit the Deck)

Three sailors who at a low point in their career were working in ''Operation ice cream". Which from what I can gather, literally mean too go to the most northern part of the United States put on a very big jacket and jump into a freezing puddle of water. Good to see that military training for the Americans is leisure activities for the fins.

For some reason we get to see the men attempt to make a cake, and because none of them have any form of cooking experience they decide to take the already existing ''rubber'' cake and Drench it in rum.
Much to their horror they discover that an overflowing rum cake doesn't mix well with candles. Afterwards they end up in San Francisco for some reason.

The three men go their separate ways for a bit. The main sailor Danny discovers that his sister is dating some strange older man who it turns out is leading a play in the theater industry. He's disturbed by this Revelation and get to the other sailor friends together, they find his sister and the older gentleman ''Snogging'' as it were in his apartment. Danny doesn't care for this and decides to attack him.
Now the three Sailors are on the Run as the Navy military police attempt to apprehend them for assaulting the man and in the long run everything works out for the sailors and they get to go on their merry lives. When you get down to it they really shouldn't be able to. The guy they attacked wasn't a huge jerk (sure he was a little old for the woman and he might have been a bit sleazy but you can't assault a man over something like that.)

There's actually a point in the movie where Danny says; ''I should make everything right and turn myself in''. Yes! Yes you should turn yourself i, you went into a man's house, tried to bust his teeth (although he actually busted yours and then your Superior officer\friend busted his) You broke into a man's house and assaulted him. Yes you should turn yourself in.

The other two Sailors have their own subplots one involving a sailor's mother and the other involving the older Superior sailor played by "Richard Anderson" who for some reason won't marry this girl that he's been engaged to for six years.
