Film Summary CCXIX (Transformers)

Two things I wish to make clear. One I'v not seen this film since it was in the cinemas back in 2007. And two I know nothing about the cartoons or any of the toy line crap. because I always felt these robots were really boring and stupid.
with that said let me ''summarize'' the movie

So we start with a voiceover or a man with a strange gravelly voice who tries to tell us that an old man from about 100 years ago owned a pair of spectacles. Then he got attacked by a robot who implanted information onto said spectacles. After this about a hundred years later some dorky kid named Shia LaDuff wants to sell the Spectacles on the interweb so he can get money to buy a car to impress some lady by the name of Foxy. Foxy from what I can gather doesn't have much of a personality, she just kind of stands there with a bad spray tan and a face that says; ''If I wasn't getting a decent amount of money I wouldn't stay on a set of this movie where they constantly stick cameras in face and various stupid angles.''

Anyways eventually Duff boy gets the money to afford a yellow sports car from the 1970s, it's a bit of a rust-bucket but as he discovers later on it's actually a secret robot who for some reason is named Bumblebee. the Bumblebee decides that he wants to be a better car so he lives up his chassis ''somehow'' and scans another car, becoming a new sports car.

Then if I remember right, there were some other robots standing around in a back alley somewhere talking about some sort of energy Cube. They need to get hold of the Bumblebee car and the kid with the stupid spectacles, so they can find the secret location of their energy Cube.
But there's another group of robots that also wants the energy Cube. I can't tell which ones are which to be honest because only two robots have any color. One is the Bumblebee he is yellow the other one is named Megabyte and he is a red one. At some point they get to the secret location which it turns out is ''Hoover Dam.'' The good robots get hold of their fancy energy Cube and an Xbox console turns into a tiny robot. and then something happens, somebody blows up, a fat man eats a plate of donuts. Then the film ends with the red robot saying; ''You have saved the universe mr. Duff man.''

And that was a Transformers movie.
Was it as good as the commercials from the 1980s?
Sure why not.
Was the film itself entertaining? Kind of, it's not an awful piece of crap, I don't know of any of the other robot movies are any better or worse.
