Three nannies must help a traveling businessman reacquire a recipe for wonton soup which he had nabbed from the Kuomintang Chinese government. Which he been stored within the skeleton of a very large dinosaur.
It's a Disney movie from the 1970s so the depiction of Chinese people and for that matter anybody from the Far East is going to be a bit wonky. Of course the depictions of the British, Scottish, Irish, Canadians and any other ethnic group in the world isn't generally favorable either. Even their own local American identity often get mocked, in this case a particularly over the top Texen character. I also find it particularly interiting that this movie is made in 1975 and feels like it came out of 1955. An interesting example of Golden Age film existing into the next stage of cinema.
The film is taking place in post Great War London. and you have to feel a bit sorry for the londoners. first they get harassed by the walking, breathing, physical dinosaur from The Strange ''Lost World'' and then they get harassed by the skeleton of what I can only presume is the exact same dinosaur.
This film does have one glaring flaw, and it is the greatest Scourge upon all the human race. I am of course speaking of ''British children'' particularly high-class British children. There is nothing more disgusting more vulgar and more detrimental to The Human Condition than these horrible snot-nosed children.
Unfortunately being a pre-Disney Renaissance film (done in live action) you know nothing negative is ever going to happen to the awful wretched children. A little part of my brain kept wishing \ hoping that the film ''Child's Play'' would start up and these children would get their just punishment.
You know it's strange if you get a English man (Peter Ustinov) playing an Asian man it doesn't upset me in any way shape or form. In fact I find it to be quite funny. For that matter I find the reverse can be great too, When a Chinese or Vietnamese man plays an overacting American or a British snob it comes off as the funniest thing imaginable. Create a great sense of human connection where we learn not to be afraid to offend one another but to Embrace each others silly and Kirky cultural identities via the art of Comedy.
