Film Summary CCLXII (Lake Mungo)

A girl named Alice drowns in a lake. And her family has to cope with this, with psychics, film recordings to see if they'll spot anything in their house and discovering later on that their daughter had a slightly secret life.
By all means it's not a complex movie, it's pretty simple and it also has a legitimately scary atmosphere.
It's the understanding that less really can mean more sometimes. Suspense is the best tool horror movie have, they know how to use it here. It's just so damn Erie.

The film's done like a documentary with bits of found-footage. And it might be the only found footage movie I've ever actually enjoyed.
I watch this movie after hearing a reference from ''Jay Bowman'' of redlettermedia. And as per usual Jay's suggestions for films turned out to be really good. His infallibility continues.

I have nothing else I wish to say about this, it's a well-made suspenseful film and if you enjoy atmospheric horror. Then there's most likely something here for you.
