Film Summary CCLXXIV (The Mummy 2)

Prepare yourself everyone for the CGI atrocity that is The Rock. God if there's one special effect that hasn't held up it was The Rock. And yet despite that he still very fun to watch. Big old scorpion monster hunting down Brendan Fraser and the other guy who looks a bit like Marlon Brando. And it wouldn't be a sequel film without an annoying little child. I would have found it much more amusing if the Egyptian guy just cut off his hand and took the stupid bracelet off. I get that they couldn't do that because the kid had Visions and all. But I sure as heck would have laughed. But then I'm a morbid monster myself, The Scorpion King might look like a monster but on the inside some of us are far worse.

So Brendan Fraser and the librarian lady got together in the last movie. I decided to poop out of kid. This little shit stain runs around with them causing all kinds of little problems, I guess someone looked at The Phantom Menace and said, we need to get on the annoying kid action. And old boy did they ever he has this little Cockney accent that doesn't match up with his father or his mother. And you just want to ram his head into a pipe sometimes. At least the entire movie isn't based on him. Speaking of the librarian lady. She's gotten a lot more bouncy in this film, she's just showing her self off for the world to see, she's kept her hair down and she doesn't care who knows it. Then there's this other random woman that pops up and the two of them start fighting in the past using what I believe to be Oriental based weapons.

I guess I shouldn't complain about the lack of accurate weapons, when there's a giant scorpion monster and tiny little scorpion monkey mummies running around an oasis in the middle of the desert. Not to mention the ridiculous blimp machine that straight out of a Jules Verne novel or is it HP Wells? I always get those guys work mixed up.

So apparently Anubis the Egyptian God can take away the mummies Powers at anytime it wants. And it makes me wonder why it hasn't done that before, not for the benefit of people as the gods of most old mythology's or for that matter even modern religions don't tend to care about man that much. If it was me I would have removed mummies Powers right when he was fighting Brendan Fraser the first time just to screw with him. Then I would have stuck his powers back in I'm right before he died just to screw with Brendan Fraser.
