Rambles of Anethum II (China on the wave)

There's a lot of people out there saying that the Chinese wolver take the Americans as the world's great power. Personally I'm a little weary of this I don't know if they'll be a great power in the future or at least I'm hoping there won't be. I'm thinking it be a much smarter idea to have a consistent group of powerhouses surrounded by medium Powers that can mediate a local divisions resources and needs. But then that's just wishful thinking. Most likely there will always be a few dominant Powers that'll push their sway upon the world . But I'm always a little hesitant when it comes to China. Although they've proven themselves to be capable nation in the past arguably in the long past the most capable.
But I still proceed that Chinese has three massive obstacles to overtake if they wish to maintain their power in the future.

The first is the long history of Chinese Cultural, economic and military expansion followed by an immediate isolation brought on by a xenophobe Emperor. Building up massive industry and Naval fleets. With great Ambitions to go out and travel the world, only to have the whole thing fall apart when the next ruling monarch decides the country is going to look in-words. Leading the last 70 years of technological advancement to rot away in the harbor.
I'm always hesitant the next president of China will do the same. Maybe with pressure from an ever-growing populous more worried about their decreaseed standard of living then in the great image of China*.

The second hurdle is the Environmental problem. An issue that no one seems to want to do anything about, or at least anybody with any real importance. Industry booms on oil continues to sell and the Chinese produce more greenhouse gas than anybody. But seeing as how we're already suffering from some of the outcomes of environmental catastrophe such as increased tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis and higher temperature. The Chinese economy may find it incredibly difficult to survive in the world of Greener options and lacking industry.
Of course the rest of the world is suffering with the environmental problem too. Which is even bigger Chinese as they're supplying most of the world with Product.

And then theres the Chinese government itself, no matter how advanced the nation gets, no matter how amazing the industry expands, they're still led by a form of government that couldn't keep the Soviet Union alive and that ultimately leads to stagnation and disillusion from its own public.

*Though I must admit at this point in time the Chinese seem very happy about expanding their cultural and economic superiority all over the world especially in Southeast Asia working very well increase the standard of living for the local Chinese populous. Unfortunately it'll come to the cost of the local Filipinos Taiwanese and possibly the Vietnamese. Such as the cost of expansionist Empires.
I could say my entire page was nothing more than comprehensible ramble but I've seen most of the major news outlets as of late and they're no better. At least I'll have the honesty to say that I didn't Source anything and this is all just coming out of my head. Let's hope I'm dead wrong and that the Chinese conomy does well and helps to make the rest of the world bitter to.

Also I'm not entirely sure but I always felt that wave picture was made by the Japanese.
