Film Summary CDLXVIII (Scooby-Doo! and Kiss: Rock and Roll Mystery)

Will I tried.

I got about 20 mins in before i lost all will to keep up with this film.
Winch is saying something, given that i watched the entreaty of 'Kiss and the Phantom of the park'.
(Somebody must have known what was up with that decision. You can't make two different Independent films with the band KISS, both centred in a amusement park without having some former knowledge of the other. Especially given that the band is supposed to have Supernatural powers to begin with.)

So like any other Scooby-Doo story the film begins with a ghostly attack by some unknown Force. Park management is unsure of what to do and decides to call in the best paranormal investigative team to take care of the issue. Which turns wasn't the Scooby crew but the band KISS. It almost sounds like some sort of Insider Arrangement given that it's kind of odd that your amusement park is promoting the very band of which you're calling to deal with an issue so the band can continue on with the gig.
Anyways it doesn't matter because now we have an excuse for the Scooby band to out-of-the-blue announce their interests in the band KISS. Which involves four of the five members of dressing up accordingly with the clown makeup of all the other bandmates.
Well everyone except Fred.
In an odd turn of events; me and Fred actually agree on something wholeheartedly. And that is that the band KISS isn't all that good.
Now I don't personally dislike any of kisses music but I've never understood the ridiculous Mass Appeal.
And the only reason that Fred is even going on the trip is because everybody thinks the Scooby crew is on another one of their investigations being called into an amusement park. Only to discover later on that they were never called and the girl Daphne had made up the whole thing just because you wanted to meet the one band maid. Not that it matters anyways even that they sneak into the amusement park to try and investigate the ghosts to begin with.

And it's around here that I started to lose interest. There's just something about the slapstick nature of both the Scooby gang and the Kiss band that I really can't get into. Maybe I just wasn't in the right frame of mind or maybe this cartoon just isn't for me. Either way I stopped about here and decides to let the mystery be.

It is kind of interesting to see these two franchises meeting up with each other. They both began around the same time and they've remain prominent up until the modern day. At some point I presume that Scooby-Doo will beat out kiss in its continuing relevance with pop culture.
If nothing else I'll give this movie a point for creativity.
