Oh sweet God. I just ate a bowl of spaghetti, one too many blueberry danishes and drink a glass of soy milk. My stomach is absolutely bloated.
I cannot maintain the energy to stay up and watch an entire film. Once again we're turning the Hamtaro to fill in the gaps and produce something of ''quality?'' Well it's something.
And then there was Bijou.
For she seems to be the closest thing resembling a plot point in this episode. All the hamsters are running around their little Club having a good time before Boss decides to throw a good chunk of them out. Before trying to rearrange his entire house, all in the preparation for a girl coming over who was never invited to begin with. For it was established in earlier episodes that Boss has an interest in this little hamster known as Biju.
So they're introduced to yet again another dilemma. Hamtaro has to take charge and Bring boss and their friend Oxnard with them over to Biju's house to try and persuade her to come join them at their little clubhouse.
Which proves to be very difficult as she's a bit sheltered and out of our element. She formally moved from France. Which does bring up the confusing question of ''where the heck are we?''
Are we supposed to be in Japan or we in the United States. All the lettering is in Japanese but those houses look pretty American in style and everybody lives in a huge home. I tell you what these people are upper-middle-class at the very least.
There really isn't much of a conflict in this episode. The Character Boss is a little distraught because he couldn't convince her to come over. But really she comes by the next day after having a simple interaction with Hamtaro. Convincing her to jump out of her window onto a branch and then following the rest of the hamsters down to the little house. If anything the biggest tragedy in the whole episode is that she gets dirty from all the earth they where rolling around in previously.
I guess there's something of a future conflict given that Biju has more of an interest in Hamtaro than Boss. But that can't be helped.
After all Hamtaro was the social one that actually talked with her.
Really I'm just happy the episode didn't devolve into ''Oh! Shes not interested in me. I must try harder to win over her affection.'' Because those romantic stories are always creepy.
Then there's our trusty B story Laura. Who's celebrating summer vacation by doing chores at the school that she regularly goes to.
Maybe this is a Japanese thing or they're just a really nice neighbourhood. But the school seems to be operational even when the kids aren't there. And I'm not talking in a summer school.
These kids are just playing football and going in and out of the building doing whatever it is kids do on summer vacation. And apparently there's little-to-no staff there to monitor the situation.
Where I live if you tried something like that, the school would probably end up on the Fire with everything not nailed down robbed.
But maybe that just shows how out backwards and out of touch my area is compared to anywhere else.
Anyways Laura's going to the school to take care of some fish and have an occasional conversation with this boy she likes.
Nothing really comes of it, she gets a little bit more courage while talking to him but there's still no reason to care about their relationship yet.
On the bright side her mother didn't call her Hamtaro in this episode. So that's something.
Oh! And the Sleepy hamster actually talked.
