Computer Game Summary XXXVIII (Plague Inc: Evolved)

Plague Inc is a game that's very fun in the theory although it's hyper simplistic and a bit disappointing when you realise the whole thing may have been based off of the mobile game that was played for free.
And I kind of believe that idea, you have the ability to expand your points in this game buy clicking on these random circles that look ideal for a mobile interface.

Still I'm not 100% sure if that's true. But if it is then this is a bit of a cop-out.

But all the same Plague Inc is still oddly fun.
What it is about creating your own little virus to slowly spread over fairly simplistic map of the world and watching the whole thing turn red as your virus consumes everything before you kill off the entire planet is oddly fun.
Although I discovered a little trick you can do what are you just slowly spread the virus around over a long time. Don't activate any of the symptoms and devolve any that magically pop up and then wait until the entire world infected to the start plotting symptoms immediately. It makes the game a little too predictable and it becomes just a little doll.

The funnest virus in the game thus far is this little brain worm you can play as. It has the ability to spread itself around the world via direct flights from whatever region you happen to start in.
So you can start somewhere really poor and underdeveloped. Purposely design a little virus to be effect of it spreading in a wealthy country and then just throw them in immediately before moving on to the next place.
There's also a mod involving the new ''Planet of the Apes'' movies which was kind of fun. Although it confused me a bit because I've never actually watched any of those films. Come to think of it I never wants the original Planet of the Apes.

It's kind of strange, I love seeing monkeys pop-up in film and giant apes are even better. So you think a movie that complete revolves around the idea of sentient Apes would be right up my alley but there's just something about 'Planet of the Apes'. It's never grabbed my attention. Maybe I should sit down and watch one of these films one day.
I'd say I'd watched the whole thing from start to finish but after that aliens Fiasco I don't think I want to touch a franchise anytime soon.

Overall it's a fun game but it feels underdeveloped. As if it's a skeleton to a much bigger idea. Maybe this is just a case of me wishing it had more detail like how I play Medieval 2 Total War wishing that there was a greater number of factions to choose from with even more cities and territories to conquer.
