How can a film have such a vivid colour palette and yet still be so muted.
All the colours are there, the city is designed to look bright and inviting and yet it's just so disinteresting and boring.
Oddly if reminded of this awful Bean movie that came out years ago which also had this kind of polished colour look to it. But it was still really drab.
Obviously Mastermind is a thousand times better than Bean movie but they both leave me with the same impression.
An awkward little animated film that may have been better.
I've been sick the last few days and I just wanted to watch something I didn't have to think there a hard-on. So I stuck on an animated film that have already seen. I was hoping it'd be more entertaining than this but it really isn't.
There's just something about masterminds that's so indifferent to me.
It makes it the most difficult thing in the world to talk about. It's not a horrible movie, it's not a fantastic movie.
It doesn't do anything that really annoys me but it also doesn't leave me with any lasting impact. I forgot about everything that happened in this movie from the first time I ever saw it and we watching it now it's likely seeing an entirely new movie all over again.
The only thing I remembered is that the Mastermind guy kills off the main hero using copper and then ends up falling for the girl that the superhero was fake dating from earlier.
Otherwise you could have replaced everything in this movie with ''Letters from Hiroshima'' and I wouldn't have been any of the wiser (though I would have been more entertained.)
