Television Summary XXXV (Hamtaro: Jingle the Wanderer)

The sun is shining, the sunflowers are sprouting. (well somewhere, not here. It's still cold and covered in snow where I am. But I can imagine it somewhere warm)

Laura is over the moon as her father has promised to take her to the fairgrounds.
It all it seems to be another happy go lucky day.
But the problem arises.
Laura's father calls her up and explain that he can't take her on their little outing. She quite distraught by this.
Not just that, but he also wants her to deliver a yellow floppy disk to his office that he needs for work.
Laura deciding she has nothing better to do agrees to deliver the floppy disk and the adventure begins.

As far as Hamtaro is concerned he was going to have another exciting day in the clubhouse with his friends. Eagerly awaiting Laura's return so that he can eat popcorn or possibly chunks of a corn dog.
But as he tries to get out of his little cage he notices that Laura is returning and urgently escapes into a nearby bag.
Laura then packs said bag along side her personal items and one floppy disk.

She heads out on her way, unaware that her little hamster seems to be joining her.
As you can imagine Hamtaro is quite distraught by this, as he's unaware of what's going on and doesn't want to be stuck in a handbag all day.
He was about to escape at the bus stop near he's home and make he's way back to the clubhouse. That is until he spots Oxnard and Penelope who happened to be walking down the street.
The two of them were confused by Hamtaro's presence, thinking that he has a new hamster carrier.
He's urgently trying to tell the two of them to get off of the street as a large bird is coming up behind them looking for a snack.

neither of them can understand what Hamtaro is trying to say and both think that he's just waiting at them in anticipation.
Then they noticed the giant bird behind them and in fear run up the bench into the handbag with Hamtaro.
Laura sitting to the side notices the crow attacking her bag and shoes it off, thinking that it's trying to attack her.
At this point she gets on the bus and the three hamsters are stuck together. With Oxnard and Penelope baffled at Hamtaro's unusual surroundings.

He tries to explain his situation but he doesn't get very far. He becomes more intrigued by a floppy disk to the side of him. Thinking that it might be a piece of food.
He tries to eat it, but discovers it's inedible.

Laura makes her way off the bus and heads up the park towards her father's business.
Oxnard looking out the side of the bag accidentally drops his sunflower seed and in a panic runs out to try and grab it.
The other two hamsters follow suit; hoping to get Oxnard back in the bag so they don't get lost.
But as they're doing this; They somehow knock over the floppy disk that Laura was carrying. So now three hamsters and one floppy disk are lost in the middle of a park.
Laura becomes distraught later on when she confusingly can't find her floppy disk she promised to bring to her father.
So the two of them have to return to the park in a vain attempt to find it, while the other three hamsters are running around hoping to God that they can make their way back home.

At some point during their confused travels they come across this new hamster Jingle. Who seems to sing or rhyme most of things he says.
He's a bit of an incoherent little guy who just rambles on while stringing a guitar.
Where a hamster gets a tiny guitar is beyond me, but that's part of the bigger Mysteries of the universe and I don't think we should try to unravel it here.
He politely, but confusingly tries to offer help to the little hamsters.
But ultimately just makes them even more confused and leads Hamtaro into a bit of the frenzied stupor, as he tries to discover what happened to their floppy disk that Laura was carrying.

He notices later on with Laura return to the park that she's in quite upset and it's all because of that stupid yellow floppy from earlier.
Hamtaro doesn't exactly know what it is, so he trys to describe it to his friends as a square yellow thing that tastes like a dinner plate.
As you can imagine the hamsters don't take this information will and are unable to help Hamtaro with his search.
He's than greeted by Jingle again, who informs him that he knows of this mysterious thing and can lead them to it.
They all wander off to a large garbage dump where all kinds of Oddball items are thrown out.
They spend the better part of several hours looking for this floppy, only to come up with nothing.

Jingle ultimately pulls out a handkerchief: small and yellow. Thinking it the thing they were looking for.
Hamtaro becomes extremely upset and is about to scurry off before noticing that Jingle has this strange other ''thing'' with him. He was using the floppy as a pillow. Hamtaro gladly gets it back before sneaking it into Laura's pocket later on, as to hide their involvement with the original floppy being lost.
Laura and her father have a bit of a chuckle over the whole Affair. Thinking that she just left in her pocket by accident and they go off home along with the hamsters to have a relaxing evening an ultimately stressful day.

This is a surprisingly decent Hamtaro story. It has a proper structure, a solid beginning middle and end with minimal steaks and relatively enjoyable characters. We get a new introduction to a hamster and another exciting Adventure outside of the hamsters typical Clubhouse abode.

On one of the wiki Pages it states that Brandy is one of the characters mentioned in this episode. But I don't think that's true.
Unless they're counting the opening scene, but by that definition all the hamsters are present. And there's only three original hamsters and one new hamster with-in this whole episode.
In fact it's quite minimal when it's hamster presence.
