It's Fall Guy the convoluted story of a young man intermingled in a crime, where he is framed for the murder of a high-class mafioso thug who had a hit put out on him by a newspaper editor, a high-ranking doctor and the police detective.
The foundational plot of the movie is quite intense.
There's a Syndicate of powerful man in this town who run everything and used organized crime groups to take care of any loose ends that affect their business.
Now what this business is?
What any of these people particularly do?
How The Syndicate came to be? Any unique character dialogue and or interactions that might be seen involving these men!?
We don't get any of that.
In fact, we don't get much of anything.
It's literally just these guys talking about how they need to kill this kid to cover up a crime they shouldn't have to cover up in the first place.
If the doctor was even remotely smart he would have known not to shoot the kid in the first place. Just shot the original Mafia Thug and claim self-defense.
It was such an easy scenario for him to deal with and he screwed the pooch.
Maybe that's ultimately the big joke of the whole movie.
The Syndicate of high-class idiots can't keep anything together and it's a miracle that anything worked out from the beginning.
Even their Hitman a guy they simply called ''the Indian'' is proven to be pretty useless.
He can't take out a simple kid who is hunting down he couldn't properly assassinate a secondary Target towards the end of the movie and he's just a joke.
The whole movie is a joke.
It feels like a giant spoof made in the 1980s if not later. But it's an actual 60s film so it just comes off incredibly cheesy.
It's only an hour long and it drags for every single minute because there's no character given to any of the people.
you get the odd girl in a bikini walking around but they're not doing anything sexy. They have no character, you don't care about them. They just grind the movie to a halt and that's a problem at the movies already slow as can be.
There's this weird Diner where a bunch of kids are dancing but it's one of those Drive in outer city diners, that's only really big enough for kitchen a few chairs in the front.
So it's just this really cramped tiny building and it makes no sense.
