Twaddling of Anethum 5 (Mafia 3: A descent into chaos)

I played Mafia 3 some years back.
Like most people I was disappointed, though not all that upset.
It was tedious and the world's didn't feel quite as alive as previous games. But it was still overall a fairly enjoyable experience.
So this time around I decided to replay the game, take a little in less interest in certain story elements and only give all the districts to one person.
That being Veto.
The only one that makes sense to give any districts to.
Mainly I just wanted to kill the character Burke. A racist bigoted moron who shouldn't have been able to utter a single sentence.
I wish the game would have given me the ability just to shoot him on sight. Could have saved myself a whole heap of trouble.
But instead I was forced to go through the rigmarole of district collecting and Mafioso killing. Before I was able to rid the world of Burke.

However this had unforeseen consequences.

It turns out Burke was some sort of cosmic stabilizing entity.
Without him the world becomes borderline unlivable.
After I killed Burke the game started to experience all manner of glitch.
Buildings refuse to render, pedestrians disappeared from the streets, car flow up into the heavens and never came back. Roads began to simplify in texture, radio ceased broadcasting and the very ground itself gave way, Swallowing up my car and plunging me into an abyss of endless falling.
The world as I knew it had ceased to be and all that was left where twinkling stars.

The city is no more, the people have all vanished and the marijuana Garden will never be harvested for more capital income.

In reality Mafia 3 was just experiencing more technical mishaps. As the game refuse to render certain parts.

I'm not sure if it's a processing error or corrupted save file. Perhaps it simply a mystical one turning into a 0.
But the game is utterly falling apart.
And this was all long before Burke died.
The game had Collision problems. Random NPCs would collapse in the comedic ragdolls and sometimes enemies would refuse to render until you were halfway inside an enemy encampment.
It's not all bad however.
Some of the Glitchy confusion led to some interesting mishaps.
Like The Adventures of Corpsy. Or the escape from the alligator swamp.

There was a DLC patch in Mafia 3 that let you travel to this Parish town. Within this town was a police precinct in where you had to steal some files to blackmail a corrupt police sheriff.
To do so you'll have to knock out (or kill) a couple of police officers as to get to the files.

One of these officers I decided to put in the trunk of a car as to hide his whereabouts.
After I was done at the police station I stole that car and drove off into the night, avoiding other police patrols before eventually dumping the car in a lake and swimming my way to a local house where I complete the mission.
Upon completion the car respond and I was able to re-enter it. But the corpse I threw into said car was still in the back of the boot. So upon taking him out it was shown to be this rather deformed mutilated corpse that was most likely transformed because of the Riverside plummet.

I then had the idea of keeping the corpse with me as a kind of makeshift companion. He would accompany me in the back of my boot to the next mission or two. Where I would transfer him from one car to the next. As I did what you can only really do in Mafia 3 that is shoot random people in the face or drive around recklessly trying not to crash into one of those Invincible trees.
At some point I had to take someone else's car who didn't have the option of putting the corpse in the back of their trailer.
It was quite sad but I finally had to leave my companion behind. And thus ended the adventures of Corpsy the Wonder corpse.

There was another adventure I had in where I had to kill a very particular man for Vito Scaletta as a retaliation for the death of his friend Joe from Mafia 2. So I decided after killing the man to put his corpse in the back of my car to bring back to Vito.
So I could dump him in the main Harbor and watch him be eaten by alligators.
But at this point the universe was starting to collapse in on itself and the roads were starting to give way to the void.

I tried my best to maintain a steady speed in my car and to take only the safest roads to Vito's Harborside headquarters.
But unfortunately even careful driving and moderation couldn't save me from the swallowing inevitability that was glitchy roads.
Ironically it happened at the harbour which somehow hadn't spawned yet showed a road on top of it.
It's from here that my car plunged into the river and the man who I wanted to bring back as a gift to Vito was lost forever. Luckily water had still spawned so I was able to swim about and get back onto the harbour but in doing so I was confronted by several alligators who viewed me as an easy snack and gave no regards to the disappearing universe or the ever collapsing frame rate of their existence. Talk about your predatory absolutism.
