Film Summary DCCCXXI (Ilsa she wolf of the SS)

You know it's funny.

You read all these reviews of people depriving this movie as biggest piece of cinematic trash. Or a true spectacle of cynicism and depravity.

You see all these people talking about it on the Internet as part of some clickbait YouTube video.
For years it has been something of an unofficial cult classic in the eyes of cheap movie fan. But then you sit down and watch the thing and discovered that it's fairly boring.
Oh sure they're sex and there's torture and there's the occasional brutal scene, but for the most part it's just dull.

The film's good guy protagonist is this American prisoner
who has the ability to maintain sexual arousal indefinitely without climaxing.
Honestly it's a really useless Talent.
Luckily he's inside a sex prison (how very convenient).
Anyways he's able to use this ''gift'' to manipulate the bad guy protagonist (played by Dyanne Thorne) to keep himself alive long enough to help a bunch of other people plan an escape from the prison and free themselves from this hellish nightmare of a place.
The rest of the movie is just an excuse for random sex, pointless torture and the occasional plot point about Nazi super science to either create ultimate weapons or cure-alls for potential diseases.
Honestly they could have made a decent story here. Cut out the excuses for random sex and just focus on this disgusting Nazi Institute torturing its victims in the name of some deprived science. Than have the nazis gets slaughtered at the end like what happens in this movie.
It wouldn't be an amazing story and it's been done before but it'd be more entertaining than what we got.

As character development goes we really don't have anything. All the prisoner ladies are interchangeable, our American good guy protagonist is a block of wood with no charisma. Which is funny given that his opposite Dyanna Thorne is just chewing the scenery like no one's business and having an absolute ball of it.
She's entertaining enough at times but even she can't save this movie from being lackluster. Really I'm not sure what can.
I mean it's not going to have a deep integral story, it's an exploitation film for god sakes. So really what was I expecting.
I wouldn't recommend sitting throw if you haven't. All the raunchy sex stuff can be found online and that's easy enough to enjoy without a hundred and thirty minutes of meh.

Also this poster is full of crap. She's committed crime so horrible that the SS fears her? She's part of the SS. And the German Army killed her in the end.  They weren't afraid of her, they were indifferent. Heck they were sexist towards her.
That was the one big irony of the whole movie. The Super fascist extraordinaire woman is still playing second fiddle to a bunch of men.
Imagine if that was the plot of the movie. This extreme German patriate woman extraordinaire serving Germany to The Bitter End inevitably becomes disillusioned with her own ideology because if it's inherited patriarchal views.
You could have her overthrowing the German government's or fighting them, going mad trying to deny the reality that is her life.
And you could still have all the torture and sex stuff in there too. A far more interesting story might have made this movie worth a darn.
